Stuart & Pam Mosley purchased Woodend Farm Complex in 1979; originally a pig farm, WFC has been transformed into a world of its own. The first barn was open fronted, ran down and full of pig faeces. The front was built up and became our shop, office and cattery (this is now our reception & office area). The shop was ran for some years, selling pet food & accessories as well as small pets. Two more barns were converted into indoor & outdoor kennels for Stuarts Dogs (one of which has since been converted into our Indoor Range). The complex has been in the same family all this time; the sons gaining all the expertise from their dad. Stuart trained Banzeta Gun Dogs and was a well known name around the world.

Specialising in Springer Spaniels, Stuart went to provide Derbyshire Police with the worlds first Sniffer Springer Spaniels, working closely with them to ensure they understood the complexities of the breed. Stuarts dogs were later provided to other Police Forces around the world, exported to roughly 12 counties. Stuart dug the Bottom Pond to train his dogs, then he dug another, and another, and so on. We then opened the ponds as a fishery and have been expanding ever since. All the trees were planted by Stuart & Pam, Stuart massively encouraged wildlife and had a vision of a conservation area (what a success his vision became).
