We have 5 Target Sports Ranges in total: 3 Airgun (Rifle & Pistol), an Archery & Crossbow and a Knife & Axe Throwing Range. All Target Sports are £5 per hour (per person) with your own equipment and are ran on a Booking Basis ONLY (to control how many people are on each range); you can book between the hours of: 9:00 - 21:00 (Mon - Thurs) and 9:00 17:00 (Fri - Sun).

Own Equipment - £5 per hour (per person)

Safety is our number one priority when it comes to Target Sports; if we feel you are safe with your equipment, we will allow you to get on with things. However if we feel anybody isn’t 100% confident, we will be more than happy to help you become more familiar and trust your equipment.

We have a Membership that allows you to get double the time for the same price across all of our Target Sports. To find out more or to sign up as a member, pop into our Reception between the hours of 9:00 - 16:00 any day.

Hire Equipment is available for all of the Target Sports we offer at WFC from £20 per hour (per person). Please give us a call any day, between the hours of 9:00 - 16:00 and we can answer any questions and get you booked in.

Airgun

Club Night - Every Tuesday (18:00 - 21:00)

 Our Indoor Range comprises of 6 bench rest lanes distanced at 20m with a manual pully system for varied target distancing. There is a seated area behind the lanes for shooters (& spectators) to sit back and relax with hand washing facilities. We also have a small gun workshop area, where shooters can make adjustments to their gun(s).

Our Outdoor Ranges have 8 bench rest lanes distanced at 50m with a selection of targets (knockdowns, spinners, bells etc) at a vary of distances.

  • All UNDER 18’s must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian

  • SAFETY is the responsibility of all participants

  • ALWAYS make sure your gun is unloaded and magazine removed (if applicable) before moving from the shooting bench

  • ALWAYS assume your gun is loaded

  • When moving from your shooting position, the MUZZLE of the gun should ALWAYS be aiming at the floor

  • NEVER remove guns from their cases outside of any of our ranges (unless in an organised event)

  • All air rifles MUST be sub 12ft/lbs and pistols sub 6ft/lbs

  • A MAXIMUM of 2 people on a lane at any one time

  • A MAXIMUM of 1 gun per lane at any one time

  • Any person(s) under the influence of ALCOHOL or DRUGS will be asked to leave

  • DISTRUPTIVE or OFFENSIVE behaviour will not be tolerated

Archery &

Crossbow

Archery Club Night - Every Thursday (18:00 - 21:00)

Crossbow Club Night - Every Tuesday (18:00 - 21:00)

 Our Archery / Crossbow Range is 100m in distance and can hold up to 6 people shooting at once. On the right side of the range, we have a selection of Archery Bosses and Crossbow Bosses on the left (these are set out at a vary of distances).

We also have a 3D Course set up around the complex; this is shot on our club nights with a certified member of our club or a member of staff. We hold competitions regularly, setting up our 3D Course across 18 acres of land.

  • All UNDER 16’s must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian

  • ALL Long Bows, Recurve Bows, Compound Bows and Crossbows are acceptable on the range

  • NEVER walk across the firing line whilst people are shooting

  • NEVER have your bow or crossbow loaded whilst people are down range

  • ALWAYS draw your bow towards a target (with or without arrows)

  • EVERYBODY collect their arrows together

  • NEVER shoot arrows in the air

  • NEVER shoot with damaged equipment

  • NEVER handle another archer’s equipment without their permission

  • AVOID physical contact with an archer in the shooting position

  • NOBODY can walk our 3D Course WITHOUT an approved member of the club or a member of staff

Knife &

Axe Throwing

Club Night - Every Wednesday (18:00 - 21:00)

WFC is home to Woodend Warriors; the second official KATTA Club in the UK. We’ve established a loyal team with years of experience in the sport; hosting a number of National and International competitions (including the World Championships in 2015). We have a large outdoor throwing range, comprising of multiple laned targets, throwing games and long distance targets. There is also a smaller indoor throwing range that is used throughout the winter months.

Equipment is provided to all beginners, along with full tutoring from an experienced member of the club.

  • All UNDER 18’s must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian and can only throw AXES or FLYING ANGELS

  • ALL THROWERS are responsible for the safety of themselves, other throwers and any spectators

  • BEGINNERS should only be allowed to progress from the 3M LINE once they’ve shown a competency in throwing

  • SUITABLE FOOTWEAR must be worn whilst on the range

  • Any person(s) under the influence of ALCOHOL or DRUGS will be asked to leave

  • Projectiles may clash and cause SPIKES or METAL BURRS which may cause injury to the hands (inspections of the projectiles should take place REGULARLY)

  • Projectiles may BOUNCE BACK and cause injury

  • Throwers should always retrieve their projectiles from the targets BEFORE picking others up from the floor
